I am sure that at times I have dumped the best hands to over pot bets that would jeordize my chip stack in Ts. So determing how I want to play depends on the person and the pot odds at the time.. I have gotten much better at this in the last year.. And also at reading when I know I have them beat and not assuming they have me beat.. but then I owe a lot of that to RR..
